A video wall with eco credentials takes centre stage
Nike have been opening up new showrooms across Europe over the last couple of years. The latest to open is the Paris showroom designed by RED Architects. For this project we, at HTS, installed a large 3X3 video wall for visual impact in the centre of the showroom known as ‘the Market Place’. We chose to use Samsung LED Screens in the showrooms as they’re designed to absorb external light and reflection. They’re also really slim so the technology doesn’t distract from the product messages. In addition a Samsung LED Screen uses the latest in eco technology which we think is a really important credential when you’re running electricity for long periods of time.
The audio visual equipment allowed Nike to enhance the industrial styled Nike space with multimedia product messages. The Samsung video wall fits in really well with RED Architects industrial styled basket ball concept floors and information graphic graffiti walls.

We also chose to use JBL professional speakers which creates an exceptional sonic performance throughout the listening area.

The spec for this project challenged our thinking a little bit because instead of neatly hiding the wires away in trunking, we ran them across the steel framework and left them showing to add authenticity to the industrial styled space.
You take control of your environment
It’s really important that all the kit is really easy to use. We understand that it’s the staff and management who will be using the kit on a day to day basis. It’s their job to introduce the right multimedia message for the retail environment. We chose to install simple, reliable control panels so that they could control presentation devices such as ceiling mounted projectors, projection screens, video displays and the speakers/sound.
